Tammie Jarvishospitality coordinator

Tammie was born in Charleston, SC and raised in the small town of Summerville, SC. She grew up the only child of two loving parents.  Her family believed in God but didn't attend church regularly or have a relationship with Jesus.

Tammie met her husband Pat and moved from Summerville to Atlanta in October 1991.  Tammie and Pat have three beautiful children.  In December 2002, Tammie began to feel the Holy Spirit call her to attend SUMC which was where her kids went to preschool.  Soon after, Tammie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  During the membership process, Pat and Tammie met David Walters in 2003. Shortly thereafter, Tammie and all three children were baptized together.  The Jarvis' recently moved from Grayson to Flowery Branch to assist David in starting The Vine.

In the lowcountry of South Carolina, Sunday means food and family. Southern hospitality is a tradition in her family and she learned to cook watching her mother and grandmother.  She is also a firm believer in Paula Deen's theory that everything is better with more butter and cheese.  Don't think you can come over without getting fed; if you've ever been in her home, you know that is true.  Tammie is blessed in that her giftedness in hospitality is also her passion and joy.

Birthplace: Charleston, SC

Favorite Day/Experience: The day Brandon, Taylor and Brooke were born. I enjoy family vacations at Disney World.

When I'm not at church or with my family... I enjoy quiet time with a delicious cup of coffee. Paul Newman’s Café Almond Biscotti Organic blend is my favorite. When I find time I like to read cookbooks and decorating magazines. I’m inspired by home design shows on HGTV and Southern Living magazine to get the interior design for less at Target.
